Dalhousie Medical Practice has five GP Partners, three salaried GPs and two GP Registrars. Our team are: 

GP Partner; MBChB (Edinburgh 2009), DRCOG 2013, MRCGP 2015. Dr Christie is available Monday mornings, and all day Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

GP Partner; MBChB (Edinburgh 2002), MRCP 2006, DRCOG 2012, MRCGP 2016. Dr English is available all day Mondays, Wednesday mornings and all day on Thursdays. 

GP Partner; MBChB (Aberdeen 2008). Dr Walker is available all day Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays mornings.

GP Partner and Trainer; MBChB (Edinburgh 2007), MRCGP 2014, PG Cert in Medical Education (Aberdeen, 2016), Diploma of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (Liverpool, 2010). Dr McArthur is available all day Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

GP Partner, MRCGP 2020, MAcadMed. Dr Martin is available all day Mondays, Wednesday mornings and all day Thursdays.

Salaried GP, performs coil insertions and removals. Dr Porter is available all day Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Salaried GP; BMSc, MbChB (Dundee), MRCGP. Dr Talbot is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Dr Chestnutt is a GP Registrar in her third and last year specialty GP training. Dr Chestnutt works Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday mornings.

Dr Chinonso Ogaziechi is a GP Registrar in his third and final year of specialty GP training. Dr Ogaziechi works Mondays to Fridays.

Practice nurses are qualified, registered nurses and are qualified in family planning, healthy living, weight management and cervical smears.

Ms Kennedy is our Practice Nurse and is available all day Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday mornings.

The management at Dalhousie Medical Practice comprises the Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager and Team Leader.

The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

The Assistant Practice Manager and Team Leader support the Practice Manager and are responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the administrative functions of the practice.

Sharon Ferrier is our Team Leader and directly supports the reception team. 

Our medical receptionists provide our patient with an important link to the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and test results, and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query.

Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
