It takes five working days for us to process your request. Your prescription will be sent directly to your preferred pharmacy for you to collect. It takes seven working days for new medication requests.

Please note that due to high demand, we need advance notice to process repeat medication requests and the turnaround time is five working days, and seven days for acute requests.
Collecting
It will take at least five working days (e.g. not weekends and bank holidays) after you have submitted your repeat request and seven days for acute requests before your prescription is ready to collect.
Most of our prescriptions are delivered straight to a pharmacy. You must indicate if you would like to collect your prescription to our team and GPs. Also, please make sure you let us know which pharmacy you would like us to send your prescription to, to avoid confusion and delay.
Medication Reviews
Please check your repeat prescription slip for your reminder to book an appointment to review any long term medications.
Hospital Discharge
If you have attended a hospital clinic or been discharged from hospital you will usually be given enough medication for seven days.
