Mental Health
Midlothian Access Point
The Midlothian Access Point is open to people aged 18 to 65 who are registered with a GP in Midlothian and who are looking to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
It is run by Health in Mind and they can:
- Ask about how you are feeling and how it is affecting your life
- Offer information about local groups, services and activities that can help
- Refer you onto support that will work best for you
- Assist you to access this support, if needed
Appointments are carried out over the phone and face-to-face. It’s important for you to have a safe, confidential space for phone appointments. Morning and afternoon appointments are available Monday to Thursday.

Midlothian Mental Health
If you are 18 or over and experiencing mental health difficulties or feel you are in crisis you can call the Midlothian Mental Health and Resilience Service (MHARS) on 0800 118 2962 between 8am and 10pm, 7 days a week. You will receive same day support from a trained practitioner.
Midlothian Young Peoples Advice Service
MYPAS is an award winning charity supporting children, young people (aged 10 to 21) and their families to deal with issues affecting their health and wellbeing including: mental health, LGBT+ support and drug and alcohol misuse.

Quit Your Way Scotland is an advice and support service for anyone trying to stop smoking in Scotland.
Sexual Health
The following services are available in our area:
- Healthy Respect: A friendly drop in clinic for 13 to 18 year olds at Chalmers Centre, 2A Chalmers Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9ES
- Lothian Sexual Health: Offering both face to face No-Talk Testing and Home Sampling Testing Kits to do at home.
- Sexual Health at Dalkeith: Offering a variety of services at Dalkeith Health Centre Community Wing including IUD insertion.
- Waverley Care: HIV and syphilis testing is available free of charge in Edinburgh and the Lothians, to anyone 18+.
- C:Card: A plastic card which is yours to keep and use to collect free condoms and other safer sex products on the c:card range
